The RLV ISO by RIZZOLIO is a semi-automatic isobaric bottle filler available in 2-nozzle, 4-nozzle, and 6-nozzle configurations. It is designed for precise filling of carbonated beverages, such as cider, beer, sparkling wine, and sparkling water; but can also be used for filling still (non-carbonated) liquid. At the start of the filling cycle, a vacuum is applied to the bottles, creating negative pressure within. The bottles are then filled with gas (CO²), displacing the small amount of remaining oxygen and forcing it to the top of the bottle. A secondary vacuum is then applied to remove the top layer of oxygen before the bottles are filled. The filling nozzles draw product from the overhead filling tank, which is also pressurized with CO². The nozzles force product to flow down the interior sides of the bottles to minimize turbulence and reduce foam. Once the set fill level is reached, the pressure within the bottle is stabilized and the vacuum seal between nozzles and bottle openings is released. The layer of carbonized foam between the top of the product and the bottle opening acts as a barrier to prevent oxygen from entering.
The RLV ISO Isobaric Filler can be outfitted with rinsing stations for bottles and can be set up for automatic operation with onboard Touchscreen Control Panel.
