Elevator Mills
Rinsing Elevators with Mills for Cider
Fruit Washers are typically multipurpose machines that not only perform multiple tasks but are integral in setting up a continuously operating production line.
Rinsing Elevators with Mills have a bin-height rinsing basin with bubble jets and recirculating water to keep the fruit in constant motion after it’s dumped in (usually using a bin tipper). An elevator—either an auger or conveyor—carries the fruit up to the hammer mill while high-pressure sprayers rinse the fruit off as it passes. The output chute of the mill can be configured as a “doser” with a slide release and pressure sensor to provide the specific volume needed for the layers of a packing press, or with a PLC connection that communicates with the infeed hopper of a belt press to control the operation.
