The MDK 4000 by Maurer is a fruit elevator that features a washing basin with spray jets & scrubbing brushes, debris collection filters, and pressure sprayers; along with dual centrifugal mills. It is capable of processing approximately 8000 lbs of fruit per hour.
The entrance to the washing basin features four spinning brushes that scrub the fruit once it's dumped into the basin, along with rotating paddles that feed the cleaned fruit onto the elevator. An onboard recirculation pump and air compressor are used to create bubble jets within the wash basin to clean the fruit. At the bottom of the basin are two removable grates that allow the removed dirt to settle whilst keeping the fruit afloat. The basin also contains two skimming filters that separate floating debris (stems, leaves, twigs, etc.) from the fruit. The open-top chain elevator features high-pressure spraying nozzles and allows you to see the fruit as it makes its way up to the mill. The dual mills contain interchangeable mill screens for processing fruits and vegetables of different consistencies and moisture content.
The MDK 4000 is outfitted with a touchscreen control unit with Wi-Fi that enables both remote operation of the machine, as well as communication between it and other connected Maurer equipment.
