The RLV ISO 6-1CS by RIZZOLIO is a fully automatic 6-head isobaric can filler with can seamer. The closing station includes a feeder to automatically apply the can tops prior to seaming. At the start of the filling cycle, the cans are filled with gas (CO²), displacing the oxygen within. As the oxygen moves to the top of the can, a light vacuum removes it to minimize the product's exposure during the filling process. Product is drawn from the overhead filling tank, which is also pressurized with CO². The nozzle forces product to flow down the interior sides of the can to minimize turbulence and reduce foam. Once the set fill level is reached, the pressure within the can is stabilized and the vacuum seal between nozzles and can opening is released, allowing the bottles to move on to capping. The layer of carbonized foam between the top of the product and the bottle opening acts as a barrier to prevent oxygen from entering prior to applying the top of the can and seaming it.
