Peristaltic pumps provide the gentlest and most sanitary method of transferring liquid, must, mash, skins and whole fruits; which is why most winemakers, brewers, and distillers consider them to be their “Go To” Pump.
A flexible silicone hose runs from the intake to the discharge connection along the inside wall of the housing and is progressively squeezed by a set of rollers as they revolve around a center axis, moving material through the hose. The alternating compression and release creates a vacuum within the hose resulting in continuous flow of material through the pump. It is entirely contained within the hose from entrance to exit, avoiding any contact with mechanical components, and continuously moved via constant vacuum pressure.
